Post-1902 Essex Regt HP

A brass, three-towered, helmet plate for The Essex Regiment with two staple-style loops on the backplate and all four loops intact on the centre. Some verdigris. KK358/400.

Note: Kipling & King (volume 1) states the two-towered version was worn from 1881 to 1896, when the castle was redesigned.
