2VB DCLI Officer's FS Cap Badge

A scarce, silver-plated, field-service cap/collar badge for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry with two lug fastenings (north and south). HQ at Bodmin. Churchill 911.

Note: Churchill states: "This battalion wore from c1895-1908 a white metal field service cap badge of a coronet over ribboned bugle horn. The badges occur in facing pairs, and are believed to have been worn as collar badges in South Africa 1899-1902."
