1st Hants RV FS Cap Badge

A scarce, white metal, field-service cap badge for The 1st Hampshire Rifle Volunteers with two lug fastenings (east and west). Approximately 30mm tall x 22m wide. Woods 3.29.

Note: This is the version where the strap reads 1st Rifle Volunteers rather than 1st Battn Rifle Volunteers - the badge on the left of the illustration in Terence Woods' book on The Military Insignia of Hampshire and The Isle of Wight.
