2nd VB RWF Officer's PBP

A rare and attractive, silver-plated, pouch-belt plate for an officer of The Royal Welsh Fusiliers with four screw fastenings. The nuts remain intact along with the original backplate. Headquarters at Hawarden.

Note: This pouch-belt plate is illustrated on page 206 of Bryn Owen's book on The History of the Welsh Militia and Volunteer Corps (Anglesey and Caernarfonshire). He dates it to circa 1890.

The 2nd VB scroll has detached slightly on the left-hand side (as viewed).
