HLI TA Glengarry Badge

A white metal glengarry badge for the 5th, 7th & 8th (territorial) battalions of The Highland Light Infantry (The Glasgow Highlanders) with two lug fastenings (east and west). As KK1749.

Note: Head-dress Badges of The British Army Volume 1, by Arthur Kipling & Hugh King, shows the version with the long blank scroll but states a version with a short blank scroll also existed.

The Assaye honour has been erased/the die has been hobbed.
