Tyneside Scottish Glengarry Badge

A white metal glengarry badge for the 20th-23rd and 29th battalions of The Northumberland Fusiliers (Tyneside Scottish) with two lug fastenings (east and west). KK1136/Wood 451.

Note: This is the 'no feet on the tower' pattern with the lion 'issuing' from the tower.

Colonel Denis Wood's book on The Fifth Fusiliers and its Badges (reference 451 in both the first and second editions) describes this as the 4th pattern and dates it to 1916.
