Anodised R Alderney Militia Cap Badge

A scarce, anodised aluminium, cap badge for The Royal Alderney Militia, with two lug fastenings (east and west). Marsh AAP19.

Note: Chris Marsh, in his book on 'Anodised Aluminium: The 'No Bull' Cap Badge of The British Army', identifies this as an Army Cadet Force badge. His book shows an all-gold badge, while this is two colours - I'm not sure f the significance of this (any information gratefully received).

The badge is attached to a card, which describes it as a London Badge & Button Company Master Pattern - MOD Contract.
