RIR (?) Tara Brooch

A scarce, silvered, Tara brooch for The Royal Irish Regt (?) with four lug fastenings.

Note: Other Irish units use similar badges - if this ID is incorrect, any extra information would be appreciated. This brooch appears to have some age to it.
