52nd Foot Pre-1881 Collar Badge?
A scarce, brass, collar badge identified to me as The 52nd Foot (later 2nd battalion of the Ox & Bucks LI) with two lug fastenings (north and south, probably both replacements).
NOTE: Colin Churchill's book (p190) states this regiment did not wear collar badges prior to 1881 so it may well have been worn by another unidentified unit instead. read more
