A cut-down, brass, shoulder title for the 23rd battalion of The London Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). As Westlake 1552.
Note: Sometimes soldiers removed the 'T' from their titles, to de-emphasise the 'territorial' distinction. This example has a 'rounded 3' while the ones shown in Westake's book have a 'flat 3'. read more
9th London FS Cap/Collar Badge
A scarce, brass, cap badge for the 9th battalion of The London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles) with two lug fastenings (north and south) and a red felt backing. Approximately 26mm tall x 16mm wide. As KK2407 or Churchill 1943.
Note: Kipling & King shows this style of badge and describes it as an officer's item (in silver or blackened brass) for wear on a red cord boss. read more
