4th/5th R Scots Collar Badge

A scarce, brass, collar badge for the 4th and 5th (territorial) battalions of The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 20.

Note: Churchill states other ranks wore white metal collars while officers wore them in bronze (in two different sizes). Perhaps this is the smaller version (approximately 30mm x 30mm) of the OSD collar?  read more

Cameronians Officer's CBP

A rare, hallmarked silver, cross-belt plate for an officer of The Cameronians (The Scottish Rifles) with four screw fastenings (three nuts in place) and its backplate intact.

The reverse of the backplate bears hallmarks for Birmingham 1901 (I think - maybe 1895 instead?). There are also marks in the laurel wreath (by the Scottish Rifles scroll).  read more
