A rare, silver, cap badge for the 17th-20th (1st-4th City) battalions of The King's Regiment (Liverpool) with two lug fastenings (north and south - replacements). KK1146.
The reverse bears hallmarks for E&C (Elkington & Co), sterling silver, London, 1914. The lugs may replace an earlier pin fastening.
These short-lived units were part of Kitchener's Army.
