Cameronians Piper's Glengarry Badge

A white metal glengarry badge for a piper of The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) with a single lug fastening (north) and a short slider fastening. Gaylor plate 26.

Note: This is the smaller pattern at approximately 65mm wide x 45mm tall, which Gaylor states was worn by the 1st battalion circa 1860-1921.

These badges usually have a long slider fastening. I have never seen this combination before on one of these badges. This is likely a modification but it is hard to say whether this was done at the time of wear or later.
