Edwardian ASC (Vols) HP

A scarce, white metal, helmet plate for The Army Service Corps (Volunteers) with two lug fastenings (east and west, the north lug missing) and a black leather backing. KK995.

Note: It looks like this helmet plate was converted from a Victorian example. Sometimes this was done for volunteer soldiers as the government did not provide their insignia.
