PWPB Cap Badge

A rare, bi-metal, cap badge for the 18th (1st Public Works Pioneers) battalion of The Middlesex Regiment with its slider fastening replaced with a pin fastening. KK1151.

Note: This service battalion was raised in London in January 1915 by Lieutenant Colonel John Ward MP and trained at Alexandra Palace. It was one of the 'pals' battalions of Kitchener's Army.
