S & Sx. Yeo Shoulder Title

A brass shoulder title for The Surrey & Sussex Yeomanry with two lug fastenings (east and west). Westlake 320.

Note: Ray Westlake, in his book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles, dates this title to circa 1920-47.

He states the Surrey Yeomanry and Sussex Yeomanry converted to the 389-392 batteries of 98 (Surrey & Sussex Yeomanry) Army Brigade RFA in 1920.

In 1947 the units split again to become the 298 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery (Surrey Yeomanry) and the 344 (Sussex Yeomanry) Light Ant-Aircraft/Searchlight Regiment, Royal Artillery.
