A scarce, white metal, helmet plate for The Hampshire Artillery Volunteers with three lug fastenings (north, east and west - somewhat bent over). As Litchfield & Westlake 111 or Woods 5.9.

Note: Terence Woods, in his book on The Military Insignia of Hampshire and The Isle of Wight 1702-1902, dates this badge to circa 1878-91.
