Note: The badge reflects a die-stamped, hollow, image of the castle of Enniskillen with St. George's colours flying. I understand this pattern was worn pre-1922.  read more

A blackened brass cap badge for The North Riding (of Yorkshire) Rifle Volunteers with two lug fastenings (east and west). The reverse bears a plaque for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London (upside down).

Note: Despite the name, I understand this unit was part of the WW1 volunteer training corps (VTC) movement rather than the earlier rifle volunteer movement.  read more
