Note: Despite the name, I understand this unit was part of the WW1 volunteer training corps (VTC) movement rather than the earlier rifle volunteer movement.  read more

A pair of white metal collar badges for the 1st and 2nd volunteer battalions of The Hampshire Regiment, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). As Churchill 1002 or Woods 8.19/8.20.

Note: Terence Woods book on 'The Military Insignia of Hampshire and The Isle of Wight' states these collar badges were worn by the 1st VB from 1881 but also worn by the 2nd VB after 1894.  read more
