An interesting and unusual, gilt, helmet plate for an officer of The Royal Engineers (Militia/Territorials) with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). The reverse bears a plaque for manufacturer Hobson & Sons, 1 3 & 5 Lexington St, London, W. As KK860.
