29th Foot Glengarry Badge

A nice, brass, non-voided glengarry badge for The 29th Foot with two lug fastenings (east and west, soldered). As KK471/Bennett 337.

Bennett dates this pattern to c1880, just before the 29th Foot became the 1st battalion of The Worcestershire Regiment in the Cardwell reforms of 1881 (glengarry badges then ceased to carry the regimental number). All of this suggests this was a short-lived badge.
