A rare, silver-plated, helmet plate for an officer of The First Lanarkshire Artillery Volunteers with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). The reverse bears a plaque for Hobson & Sons, 1, 3 & 5 Lexington St, London, W1. Litchfield & Westlake 126.

A rare, hallmarked silver, cross-belt plate for an officer of The Cameronians (The Scottish Rifles) with four screw fastenings (three nuts in place) and its backplate intact.
The reverse of the backplate bears hallmarks for Birmingham 1901 (I think - maybe 1895 instead?). There are also marks in the laurel wreath (by the Scottish Rifles scroll). read more
