A rare, blackened/silvered, helmet plate for an officer of The King's Royal Rifle Corps with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). The centre has a scarlet cloth backing. As KK269.
Note: I understand this pattern plate, without the 60 numerals to the centre, was worn circa 1881-83 only. The upper scroll has been reattached to the cross (by the P of Peninsula).
