TS (First Pattern) Cap Badge

A rare, first pattern, white metal cap badge for the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 29th Battalions of the Northumberland Fusiliers (Tyneside Scottish) with two lug fastenings (east and west). KK1135 or Wood 446.

Note: This unit was part of Kitchener’s Army.

Wood states: "The design for the first pattern cap badge and the shepherd's tartan was accepted by the Tyneside Scottish Committee on 9 November 1914."
