Victorian KOSB Piper's Glengarry Badge

A rare, silver plated, glengarry badge for a piper of The King's Own Borderers/King's Own Scottish Borderers with three lug fastenings (north, east and west),

Note: The third photo shows this badge, from an advanced KOSB collection, with the following description: "The Dog and Bonnet. The King's Crest was conferred on the Regiment by George III in 1805, on the change in title to The King's Own Borderers. The above badge was worn by the Regiment's pipers."

A similar badge was also worn as an arm badge by non-commissioned officers of The 15th Hussars and The Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons). Linaker & Dine 37.1A.
