23/London Shoulder Title

A cut-down, brass, shoulder title for the 23rd battalion of The London Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). As Westlake 1552.

Note: Sometimes soldiers removed the 'T' from their titles, to de-emphasise the 'territorial' distinction. This example has a 'rounded 3' while the ones shown in Westake's book have a 'flat 3'.  read more
